Shannon Leeann Dill; also known by stage name , DaphoDILL, is a 29 year old songwriter, singer, and rapper from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The December born Sagittarius. DaphoDILL first started making music in 2020’s. Since then, she has been making such the impression on the music industry; with her very retro sound. DaphoDILL brings the mixture of emo – rock meets pop – rock which meets hip-hop. She is quite the Global Artist.
She has made songs from “All Facts” featuring well known producer Zaytoven; as well as, songs such as singles “I’m Rolling Jimmy”, “G.A.B. HIGH (Goofy A** B*tches)”, “Black Shades Blue Colors”, “Misplaced A Misses”, “To Be Honest”, “Gas Light”, “Paper Planes”, and very well know albums such as, “Anomalous”, and “My Suicide Letter”. These albums feature some of her best work, such as hit singles, “Disguise”, “Addiction”, “Blue Skies In Paradise”, “Dark Cloud Addiction”, and the infamous “Paper Planes”.
She is really moving up the latter in her lane. DaphoDILL often describes her music as Emo, because of the essence it brings when you take a listen. She mixes her life up between being in the military, dealing with mental health, drug and alcohol addiction, and the thing we all call love. She has brought to the stage the true essence of what a flower represents, and should represent to everyone that takes a listen and peeks into her nature.
“We Are All Flowers,” she says. A flower grows from a tiny little seed , as it refers back to having faith the size of a mustard seed. The flower grows, as it is being brought to life by the storm, as it gets longer, healthier, and stronger, being weathered by the storm and thickens for protection of itself. When the stem has grown and thickened, the flower then starts to bloom into this beautiful magical thing, that most of us can’t see with our naked eye.” This is DaphoDILL.
When she was younger, she wrote poetry. She created the book “Colors of Black Shades of Blue; available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. She took her poetry, and than began to form it into her music that we hear today.
She says’ “My music is inspirational. My music is sad. My music is fun. My music is poetic and tripped out mad. It’s an art style, like when we speak. Our words can hurt, and our words can bring meaning to someone’s life, and our own.” She is quite the versatile artist.
Her quirky style to her sassy ways, DaphoDILL is definitely an artist on the go, and one we should all watch.
